Resource Visibility

Resource maintainers can decide who can view their resources by choosing one of the visibility options.

Visibility	Description
Private	Accessible only by the resource owner, maintainers, and by users with whom access is explicitly shared. Owners and maintainers can choose who can edit or view.
Public	Viewable by any user. Owners and maintainers can choose who can edit or view.

The two visibility options have their corresponding icons ( for Private and for Public) that you might discover in different parts of the UI.

Resource visibility can be specified in two ways: in the resource creation wizard and on the Sharing tab.

Set visibility during resource creation

The resource creation wizard has a dedicated section where the visibility of the newly created resource can be specified.

You can switch between the two options by selecting the corresponding radio button.

Change visibility on the Sharing tab

The Sharing tab of a resource also has a section at the bottom of the page dedicated to changing the visibility.

The section displays the current selection along with a hint about the setting itself.

Clicking thebutton will reveal the corresponding context menu, where the setting can be modified.
