Snow Owl supports the maintenance of Local Code Systems. Local Code Systems group custom Local Codes that belong to the user-defined Code System. Custom Local Code Systems can be described by a set of properties as well as a list of property definitions that apply to all the codes grouped within the Local Code System. The codes within a Local Code System can be arranged in a hierarchical fashion within a tree. Similarly to other terminologies supported by Snow Owl, Local Code Systems are fully revision controlled as well. Local Codes can be added to Value Sets and Mapping Sets. Local Code System content can be imported from and exported to multiple file formats.
The Local Code Systems View allows the user to create new Local Code Systems where each root node represents a separate Local Code System to group the Local Codes under. From the navigator you can add a new Local Code System via the Create New Local Code System Wizard where you can specify the base properties.
